National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, on Saturday, May 6 claimed that the Opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) is planning to hack into the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) system on August 8 general poll to rig in its flag bearer, Raila Odinga.
Mr Duale made the claims while addressing a Jubilee Delegates Convention at the Bomas of Kenya. The delegates had met to endorse President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid.
The Garissa Township Legislator says that NASA does not have enough votes to outdo the Uhuruto duo on August 8.
He denounced Mr Odinga’s claims that the outfit, NASA, enjoys a huge popularity compared to Jubilee Party.
Mr Odinga had on Thursday, May 4, claimed during a Citizen Television interview that NASA will amass nearly 10 million votes on August 8.
Mr Duale claims that NASA does not have the 10 million votes Mr Odinga is projecting. He, instead, says that Odinga and co can only get 10 million votes by hacking the IEBC system after votes are cast on August 8.
Mr Duale says the Opposition “is setting up a tallying center in Tanzania – and once they set up the center, they plan to hack the IEBC system”.
